I don't listen to music to manage my anger. Nothing is capable of doing that. ;D

I have a few songs I'll play if I need a musical accompaniment to work some anger out of my system. Some that immediately come to mind include :
Paradise City - Guns and Roses
Going Underground - The Jam
Down in the Tube Station at Midnight - The Jam
Crazy Train - Ozzy Osborne
You shook me all night long - AC/DC
Highway to Hell - AC/DC
I'll add more if I think of them.

those are some really good ones...AC/DC always helps bring the blood pressure down a bit
some really good alternative music out lately that fits the bill too...of course i can't think of any of the names...DUH
Cher has a few screaming, kick your ass end of relationship type songs that work really well.

Don't laugh.... Anything Dean Martin... Lois Armstrong's 'What a wonderful world' Momma's & the Pappas' 'California Dreamin' Mozart- but not the 'Requim' for anger management I even have some wonderful classical guitar cd's that are calming. DD Then John(our son) comes home and turns on Godsmack, Disturbed or some other group that is obviously only effective at 50 dcbl's. I do like System of a Down.

I dunno, I guess I thought "soothing" music would be best for managing anger. Going by all of your answers (except DD's) it looks like I was wrong. {{shrug}}

I guess it depends on what kind of angry I am. Aggitated angry=classical guitar depressed /angry=Dean Martin or Frank Sanatra melancholy=caribean or reggea Too many moods...too many choices! I can tollerate any music 'cept rap....and I am usually shit faced when I'll tollerate that. DD P.S. Our son, who gets into heavy metal and loves to maush, actually thinks Johnny Cash is cool....must be the black.

Just about anything by Def Leppard, especially the Pyromania album.....for years I've called it my "bad mood music".
Also AC/DC, The Sex Pistols, The Ramones, Green Day, and I'm sure there are others I'm forgetting.....
Jet's "Cold Hard Bitch" is rather nice, too....

depressed /angry=Dean Martin or Frank Sanatra Careful with this one -- Sinatra sometimes referred to his saddest ballads as "my suicide songs".

I find anything by The Partridge Family can divert my thoughts away from whatever was troubling me at the time. Perfect anger management by target substitution.

Perfect anger management by target substitution. I don't need music to use this method of anger management -- all I have to do is look at my penis (assuming I have a magnifying glass handy).
