For those of you who can chew gum and have sex at the same time
Viagra Gum Will be Released in Mexico
A Viagra gum will be released in Mexico on Monday (March 21st), Pfizer has revealed.
The pharmaceutical company made the announcement following a huge study, into impotence in Mexico, which found that around 6 million men in the country suffer from the condition. Mexico is the biggest Viagra market for Pfizer in Latin America.
The gum will be called Viagra Jet. It will rival Levitra Orodispersible, a dissolvable erectile dysfunction treatment, that users place on their tongues. It is believed that Levitra Orodispersible will soon be released in the UK. There is currently no set release date for Viagra Jet in Britain. EuroClinix has enquired with the Pfizer press office regarding a potential release date, but as of yet, has not heard back from the company.
A chewable form of Viagra would be more convenient, and could work faster, giving it advantages over the tablet form of the drug.
Beatriz Romero, Pfizer's marketing manager in Mexico, said: "It's a new alternative for patients and doctors." She added: "The chewable format could appeal to patients, particularly those who can't swallow the tablets."
Impotence treatments have come a long way since Pfizer introduced Caverject, a treatment that had to be injected directly into the penis. Viagra, Levitra and another medication called Cialis have all become well-recognised brand names, and are very popular. Now the companies that created these treatments are seeking newer, faster acting and more convenient treatments for men with erectile dysfunction.
