For 23 yeasr since day one that they started to broadcast I have been listening to KXFX 101.7 The Fox, In my pick-up, car, trucks and tractors at the ranch, It WAS a hard rock station. Last Friday at noon without any word they changed their format to an another one of those HIP Hop mother fucker Lady Gaga, Boy Band stations. They are now called HOT 101.7 YUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The nerve of those fuckers. That last hard rock station in this area. They only choice I have now is the fucking Country music station, the classic light rock station, two other hip hop stations or the Mexican music station. So I have permanently moved over to KNBR 680 sports talk 24/7/365.
Why can;t they just leave things alone fuck, fuck, fuck.

I hear ya, Joseph. Format ch-ch-changes SUCK MOOSE BALLS!!!! I'm still pissed that the Dr. Demento show has stopped broadcasting over the air, and has gone strictly pay-per-listen on the internet.
But, you can't blame them. They have to go where the money is. Face it: dinosaurs like you and me who still listen to classic rock and hard rock are getting extinct real fast. If they want to make money, they have to appeal to real Americans. You know, illegal immigrants!
Of course, technology gives us options: there is satellite radio, internet radio, digital radio, and of course mp3. You have to fight fire with fire! Good luck........Jake

I liked the morning DJ's. The would give you a couple of goog laughs every morning. The biggest thing was that even night Monday to Saturday at 9:00pm it was The Metallica 1/2 hour. 3 or 4 Metallica songs every night.
Now they have no DJ's just shitty soung after shitty sound. I hope they go broke.

Switch over to satellite radio Joe, you wont go back to terrestrial. If fact you will probably end up finding traditional radio very annoying after a few weeks on satellite.

Many years ago I had listened to a disco station that had a screaming, unhinged disc jockey. One morning I turned the radio on and the station was now classical but with the same disc jockey. It was amusing because seemingly over night, he had become calm and cultured as he went from announcing songs like Boogie Wonderland and Ring My Bell to some boring guy named Ludwig van Beethoven playing Moonlight Sonata in "C-minor" (whatever that is) I couldn't party to that music and believe me, I tried.

Joe, FYI -- there's no country music stations here, they don't start until you get about 75 miles north of the city.

I can't listen to traditional radio anymore, with a couple of exceptions. I hate the DJs, and I hate the commercials. The only exceptions are talk radio, or if I'm in the car and can reach over and ch-ch-change the channel whenever I hear a commercial or a DJ "bit" that he thinks is funny. They never are.
The rest of the time, it's my own recorded music, or Pandora.
Waitaminute - Joe, didn't you get an iPhone a while back? You can run Pandora on that and pipe it through your car/truck/tractor's speaker system. Then you can listen to anything you want.

And speaking of the iPhone, Sirius-XM now has apps for cell phones, so you can also listen to satrad on your phone as well.

I'm not a country music fan myself, every song seems to be about the same thing, working for the boss-man, desperate loneliness, trucks, your favorite blue jeans and momma's home cookin'. Why not sing about us self-employed folk, used BMW's and going out to high end eclectic restaurants. FYI -- This app works great, I have it on my EVO and use it to stream internet radio. tunein.com/
