Did you ever wake up with a song running through your head? Specifically, a song you hadn't heard in years?
For some reason, I woke up this morning with the Simon & Garfunkel song "Richard Cory" running through my head. It wouldn't go away until I dug out my CD and played it a few dozen times. I literally have not heard or thought about this song in about 20 years. Go figure.
Anyway, here it is. Do any of you have any other experiences like this? Do you have any theories about why a song finds its way into our brains, unbidden? Sometimes I think my brain has a mind of its own. I'm very curious......Jake

Why? who the F*** knows. Not only when you wake up but also when I am driving, watching TV, eating dinner, and working on the computer. Last week on night after dinner while on the computer I had the Ood song "Let ME" From Paul Revere and the Raiders featuring Mark Lindsey pop into my head for no reason at all. I had to do the same and go on line and fined it. Finally found it on I-Tunes. Joe.

Did you ever wake up with a song running through your head? The experience is always made sweeter when the song is relatively obscure. Good choice!
