Well we had a enjoyable trip to the Emerald City. The 8 day trip started with us staying at The Hotel Andra in downtown Seattle.
Our 8 days contained. A double decker bus tour of the city, a trip and brunch at the Space Needle, a tour of the Boeing Factory, walking in PIkes Market Place, wine tasting in Washington(some good stuff), a day trip to Victoria B.C. Canada, a tour of the Seattle Boat Locks, A dinner cruise, a Seattle Mariners ball game, museums, a tour of the Seattle Underground(very interesting), many bars, and lots of walking and when our legs and feet got real tired we found a theater and seen 3 movies on 3 different days during the week(Inception, The Scorchers Apprentice, and SALT)all good by the way. And of cousre all 417 Starbucks in Seattle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The food was outstanding as we never had a bad meal all week long. We ate everything from Greek style cooking, Italian, American, burgers, some great pizza, and even some popcorn at the movies. The wine in Seattle was all mostly Washington State wine and we found all of it to be very good. I even joined the wine Club at Columbia Winery. The wine pourer at the tasting room asked me where I was from I told him Healdsburg and he said yes our home office is there, I replyed yes I know your CEO we went to High School together and we also lived next to each other for 6 years. I got the first class treatment from that point on.
Here are a few pictures from our trip. We didn't take many as we never do.
So if you have never been there and ever consider going do so you won't be sorry.
The Space Needle. 605 feet talk built for the 1962 worlds Fair. The restaurant on top spin one full revolution every hour and we had a wonderful brunch there on Sunday.
SAFECO Field
The Empress Hotel in Victoria
The House use in movie Sleepless In Seattle
A Castle in Victoria
The Boehm Chocolate Factory. Great chocolates could have ate enough chocolates to kill myself.
The Seattle Boat Locks. They are just opening them after dropping our tour boat some 20 feet to enter the Pacific Ocean.
The Working Man Statue. The left arm moves swing a hammer.
Some homes on the water front in Seattle.
