This is the Kilgore Public Library. It is one of my favorite buildings in town. It was built in 1932 (when every street in town was dirt) and patterned after a library in a small town in France. It has a slate roof, leaded glass windows, wood burning fireplaces in the reading rooms, and big leather chairs - a cool place to read. Edited to ad: the flag is at half mast because of the US Marine we lost in Afghanistan. Attachments:
