Tonight is a special live Man vs. Food episode. I'm a fan of the show so I'll be checking it out, I enjoy the various places he visits and not necessarily the gross quantities in which he eats. Tonight he's going to eat a 48 once steak or in Hedo terms, half of a nice ass cheek! (Sounds so much better that way!) As a side note I'll be having a small veal chop, baked potato and Pilsner Urquell with fruitcup. www.travelchannel.com/Man_v_Food_LIVE/www.travelchannel.com/Man_v_Food_LIVE/about/

I have watched this show since it stated in 2008. It is great. I can not believe how much this guy can eat.

Likewise, I've been a big fan since the beginning. I'm looking forward to tonight's episode.

A 48 once steak doesn't sound so large, at least compared to the enormous portions Adam Richman has conquered in the past. Make mine a medium well porterhouse.

I watched the two hour special tonight and it was okay. I think the 48oz steak was no big challenge for him even with the 20 minute time limit, since he has eaten much larger quantities.

Agreed Joe, the show was over hyped and 2 hours was too long. On to the Super Bowl!

The better show was the one that preceded it (a rerun from the night before, I believe) -- a one hour episode that was a "Best Of" compilation.

Got into this recently, along with Man Verses Food Nation, having discovered them on Food Network here. Also really got into Diners, Drive Ins and Dives. Very different to any UK food/cookery shows.

We watch Triple-D occasionally. Once in a while, he'll actually cover a place we've been too. More often, I'll make a note of one he covers and make a point of checking it out. There is also a similar local show where all the places are within driving distance. We've been to a bunch of the joints they've visited.

Coming from a country where Indian curry now outsells our own fish 'n' chips as our nation's favourite takeaway, and being a huge curry lover myself, I love the episodes featuring hot foods and sauces the most. Hot spicy dishes are my idea of food heaven.

Simon, when you come to Chicago, we'll show you what food heaven REALLY is! Italian beef sandwiches, deep dish pizza, and Chicago-style hot dogs dragged through the garden.
