He lived pretty long, considering the diabetes-related complications he had.

Not-quite-final standings: We still have about 8% of the year to go, but we have some leaders. Please let me know if I've missed anyone here. Looks like Gordon is walking away with it so far......
The walking dead you might say. Sorry, I did say I was going to do this. It got pushed out of mind with other tasks. Nice job Jake. On the down side, I am going to have to work extra hard to repopulate my list for next year.

Due to the fact that Jake had a person on his list die in the final month of the year, I believe he is eligible for an additional stiff according to The Santo Clause.

At least she had the decency to wait until after Woody's 75th birthday (which was this past Wednesday).

A memorable passage from "The Big Chill" --
"I can even get you into Elaine's." "I thought you said Elaine's was dead?" "It is. That's why I can get you people in to it!"
Now Elaine's is REALLY dead!

When I was about 14, I met Don Meredith at Midas Muffler Shop in Longview, Texas. He was visiting his buddy who owned the shop. He was a first class nice guy. One old lady asked him to autograph her purse with a magic marker. He not only signed it but drew some Dallas Cowboy insignia and a poem he wrote on the spot about her.

Woah! This came out of nowhere. I didn't even think he was that old.
My favorite Blake Edwards movie: "The Great Race," hands down.

I remember when Johnny Carson used to have him on as the up & coming new comedian at the time. He always had killer performances on that show.

I don't think we've had any more hits since I did my preliminary assessment earlier in December. Please check your lists and see if you have racked up any additional stiffs, or if I've missed any. If there are no late-breaking entries, I will declare an official winner in a few days.....

You would think that after getting a year of free membership, our computer would be smart enough to stop soliciting me to send in dues for 2011... but NOOOOOOO
