The Kiss
Sunrise at Reelfoot
Almost Ready
Something Evil This Way Comes
duck (why a no chicken?) Hunter
Just a few of my all time favs: The first one is of a model that I worked with and her boyfriend, who was VERY shy....lol Second shot is of a kick ass sunrise down at Reelfoot Lake in TN Third believe it or not is a TAME deer that belongs to a buddy of mine. Fourth one I actually have framed and on my wall here in the living room. Last but not least, the photo while being good, if you know the story behind it, makes it great. We were duck (why a no chicken?) hunting up on the Mississippi River just north of the Quad Cities. That photo was taken using a cheap old disposable camera and a aluminum pan for a reflector, it was one of those times you really wish you would have had a better camera with you. This is a good example that it isn't always the camera that makes the shot, sometimes a little creativity goes a long way.

I like that "something evil" one a lot. Somehow, the mind just automatically fills in all the missing details, like a skeleton hanging from the tree by a noose!
Great example of the "rule of thirds," by the way! Also, the creek (or do you say "crick" down there?) does a good job of leading the eye back into the frame if it is tempted to wander out.

I like 'Something evil...' too. The tree itself gives a great feeling of malevolence, and the 'crick' really builds on it to add extra depth to the atmosphere.

I actually have shot that tree several times, this is the best of the lot by far. I have that in a 16 x 20 print framed with about a 3 inch white backing and black frame, I have had many people ask me where I bought it.....

Your picture of "The Kiss" reminded me of this picture of Nancy & I about 8 years ago on the beach on Bolivar (near Galveston) at night in front of a fire. The glow sticks that we were wearing looked cool at night but not in the flash. I used this as my wallpaper for several years. I really liked it. TexJohn Attachments:
