We rented a jet ski and rode around by Booby Cay and about as far toward town as the river. Coming back by Hedo, I saw Wilfred, one of the sailboat guys that I know pretty well and we rode over close. I had a hat and shades on and he couldn't quite recognize me, so I killed the engine and said, "Psst, you smoke mon?" We stopped and visited for a few minutes. My mom has been going to her room fairly soon after dinner so that has freed us up to head across the street. Things are going well. We ate at the French restaurant last night and they had Ike (Hedo piano bar) playing in the restaurant. Sunshine, the Hedo EC, was the vocalist last night at Grand Lido. She did a very good job and she looks good in an evening gown.

Tex,
I will add my voice to enjoying your thread. Your mother will remember this and so will you for a long time and have wonderful memories of it. I think it's a hoot she's been peeking at the nude beach - you GO GIRL!
Hugs to you and your wonderful wife!

I appreciate all of your comments. We flew back to Houston yesterday, then drove her to her house in Longview (200 miles) then back out to our place at the lake. My mom was somewhat high maintenance but was just fine. She had a wonderful trip and we did too - it was just a little different than the usual. She fluctuates between cognizant and senile. She can be very talkative and we didn't want her annoying the other guests - most people are OK with her for 5 minutes but maybe would tire out after much more. We left her at the table for a few minutes to get her lunch and she was discussing Mexico destinations and recommending the Acapulco Princess as the place to stay (it was great back in '66).
We wouldn't mind taking her somewhere again sometime but might suggest to my sister that she might want to take somewhere too.
