I had the rest of my meat ball sub for lunch today. I went out and bought a fresh crusty baguette. The 2 remaining meatballs were so sizeable that I was able to cut them up in several pieces and fill out a whole sandwich.
I topped them this time with slices of Vidalia onion and covered that with some Provolone, Asiago, & Fontina cheese. After a couple of minutes in the broiler I covered everything with grated Romano.
We have had a glorious spring so far in Florida so I headed off to the back yard pergola with sandwich and a couple of cold Coronas in hand. I sat there and finished my meat ball sub while looking at all the different flowers that were various stages of bloom. I think my two favorite right now are the Agapanthus and Day Lilies.
I like meat ball subs. And I like living in Florida this time of year.

Damn nola, you made me hungry. One of my favorite good weather past times is to spend time in the yard "grillin" and sitting under the trees. Some nights I don't come inside until after 10p.m. I enjoy messing around with my ground covers and plants.

This is my favorite time of year for the plants as they ch-ch-change so rapidly form day to day. This is the peak time for us before the summer heat hits

Any more of this talk and we'll be needing a gardening forum on the board.

Nice picture nola, I've been trying to grow moss on a rock wall for 2 years in an effort to soften and green up it's look. (of course my shower stall gives me full cooperation) I'll post some pictures of the wall later to better show and explain.

I vote for an interior design board It gets my vote too Gordon, but I think Jake would need to give it its own design to set it apart from the rest of the board, possibly using some subtle neutral colours to give a feeling of light and space, with a stronger bold tone on a feature wall. I'd also like to see the yellow from the existing board used as an accent colour to give us linkage between the old and new. As for furnishings I think we need to go contemporary, perhaps chrome and leather in stong colours to contrast the decor. It might be an idea to create a mood board before we go ahead so that we can experiement with different colours and textures. What are your thoughts? Simon

...add a limp wrist and youve got it!
Edited: Oh wait a minute... be constructive here... avacado and harvest gold tones and shag rug, add a bean bag chair, a beaded curtain in the doorway, black light posters on the walls, a pyramid of empty bear cans in the window, and book shelves made with cinder blocks and 2x6 boards.

I like your ideas Si. I besides the strong use of color the chrome and leather are good examples of varying use of texture, I always thought that to be important in decorating. (seriously)
Outside, I hung a galvanized watering can on a flat black light pole, ithey seem to compliment each other.

Gordon I love it! Except for the cinder blocks but alas! They could be painted! Shag carpets are making a strong come back, I have been selling them and Shaw and Mohawk keep updating there !970's style products.

I vote for an interior design board Not before we get the macrame, knitting and crocheting board we don't I see... cross stitching doesn't even get a mention. If this here board of Jake's is going to diversify then we need an end to this kind of bias and elitism. Simon

HEY, what about landscape design, the advantages of cotoneasters over junipers, mulching techniques, and the best rakes on the market That's not a bad idea. It certainly wouldn't hurt to get some decking, a few hardy perennials, and perhaps a water feature in this place. Simon
