Be onomatopoeia. You tend to like that kinky shit anyway.

This board has been my favorite cocktail party yet! The perfect time sink (besides Soduko--I've been 3 days Soduko free but I'm not sure how much longer I can last.) And SiaSL... I often find in groups of friends there is seldom a group member that I haven't slept with, so welcome to the ranks! I like Gordon't idea of deducting dues as a medical experience. Brilliant plan, in fact. Therapy is therapy. AND, if someone at the IRS complains about this, I will point to the fact that merely POSTING on this board is an indication of my need for therepy!!

Are you back so late because you made someone stay after class?
Did you flunk anyone yet?
It's mid-October -- how many students have dropped your class already? Is it your goal to clear the room before the end of the semester?
Sorry to sound so fascinated by this, but I just can't imagine one of my old college profs teaching a class in the afternoon after spending the morning wallowing around with the likes of us.

I don't flunk anyone! They flunk themselves! That's my story and I'm sticking to it...yes, many are flunking. They don't hand in the work when it's due.
I always have a student or two stay after class...but not for nefarious purposes (but I do do some eyeing of little boys with bad intent some semesters). Can I get fired for saying that on a public board? I did want to take the rare opportunity to say "do do" properly.
I just know I keep hearing of teachers being fired for their public statements. Guess I'm just creating a stash of evidence against me by hanging out with you charming folks. (Does this cocktail party ever end?)
A quarter of my students have already disappeared into the ether (some never showed since day one and are still on the roster; one showed up by class four (for a 3.5 hr night class). I just happened to notice about 20 minutes into the class that I didn't recognize him and asked who he was. He asked if he could pass the class and I said not likely and he said he appreciated my honesty and left.
I need to keep at least 14 students or so or the department becomes suspicious. I usually start with 26 students and end up with 19 or so at the end.

And when they do, they like to count their name and the date as part of their 500 word essay. I swear, I saw her last weekend give a big fat ZERO to a kid who did that. She actually sat there and counted all his words. I use to hate teachers like that, but now I wish I'd paid more attention. I hate the way I write sometimes. English was always right after lunch, and I was always stoned when I was in school. Dammit!!! diane
