My evening at the Plaza was grand but the early morning ride to the interview was one scary ride.
RH, good luck with your dream job. Art would be in heaven too. I like a rural lifesyle but need to have a bigger city within a reasonable commute....like an hour or so. I don't consider Billings that big either. How far would you have to drive for an international flight to Jamaica?

I'm not too fond of my accent but of course I blend in while here in N.Y.:-) I become selfconscience of it when I travel or when I'm on the phone during work speaking to my business counter parts in Dalton GA or Saraland Alabama. I imagine they start wondering if Silvester Stalone is on the phone. But I don't sound that bad.

I agree that Californians don't have accents. Nooo Yawkers have accents, southerners have accents, Texicans have accents, Chicagoans have accents, and midwestern sodbusters have accents; but your basic Californian generally does not. Probably because they control the media, and we've become conditioned to thinking of their sound as "the norm."

Well... I had my interview 2 weeks ago and today I heard from all my references that they have been calling around checking up on me. They called my boss at FEMA today and my boss called and told me that the guy told him that he was very impressed with me and they would be making a decision in the next couple of days.
