This year's trip report, like previous years, will be a photo essay. After soliciting ideas, and getting lots of great ones (thanks, everyone!) I settled on "Bright Colors of Hedo" as a theme. Lots of bright colors going on down there, both natural and man-made.
We start at the water-sports area, where the various types of boats exhibit a wide range of colors:
The Dining Room offers many bright colors, as well, starting with the tiling in the main bar itself:
These green curtains were hung on the stage for some show or other, but I don't remember what. It looks like St. Patrick's Day!
The food itself was sometimes colorful, too. But I did a lot of food photos last year, so I focused on deserts and drinks this time around, especially since they were more colorful.....
I don't remember what these three drinks were, but they made a nice grouping.....
And sometimes the person holding the drink adds their own color!
Walking around the grounds, you run across all sorts of colors.....
Lounge chairs and pads....
Floats in the ocean.....
And floats that have been beached for the moment.....
Water itself reflects the deep blue of the sky, both in the pool.....
.... and in the ocean......
The vegetation of Jamaica is of course a cornucopia of color, from the green of the fronds......
.....to the purples and reds of the flowers.
A bright red umbrella over bright blue loungers....
And bright green balls on a blindingly blue tennis court.
Even the trays of veggies at the omelet station exhibited bright reds and greens....
And a sunglasses case and glass of orange juice also contribute, in front of the candy-stripes of the chair cushion.
The towels were new this year, with bright blue stripes.
One final category: Clothing. The bartenders all had new shirts this year, brightly colored and covered with starfish. I only shot the green ones, but there were others in red and orange. The various colors of bottles and booze also add to the rainbow of hues...
The guests got in on the bright colored clothing thing too, of course:
Including of course the canonical Magnum P.I. Aloha shirt:
Finally, the bright red room keys, when you are ready to trade the colors of the day and evening for the relaxation of a deep dark sleep, to do it all again tomorrow.....
