We need air marshals in random threads. Hijacking is serious and needs to be curtailed immediately. What's an LCD screen? (just to keep on point) I do know that an LBD is Lick Bob's Dachshund Not to be confused with Lick Bob's Dick NTTIAWWT....if you are Mrs. Bob

Natural drift is one thing, and amusing. Blatant hijacking is something else entirely.Jake -- I'm sorry. I didn't intentionally try to divert or alter your thread, actually I was just having fun last night, nothing more. Last week I provided a link which was extremely helpful to camera selection which was directed toward you. (the web site is excellent I hope you looked at it) Since I was also in the market for a camera and purchased one recommended by that link, I thought I'd post a few pictures. Still however, I'll be more careful in the future Well I hope you've learned your lesson now young man. This kind of fish related anarchy is completely unacceptable when people are trying to have a sensible conversation about cameras. Good Cod man, what the hell did you think you were playing at poaching this thread like that? It's just so shellfish and out of plaice. Simon

Not good enough young man, you must sit in the corner of the Rabbit's Hole and write "I will never altar or hijack a thread again"
psssst.... 10,000 times.

UM, WOULD THIS BE A BAD TIME TO BRING UP DR. BOB'S PETS? I wasn't aware that you'd eaten them, but if they are making you feel ill then by all means bring them back up. Simon

If there's one constant at Alice's Rabbit Hole it's the clever and humorous minds at work here. Very funny! Now to get back on topic or closer to topic here is a picture of one of two snails. That's all I have for cleaning the tub but they do a reasonably good job as they slowly travel on the sides of the tub. I wonder what it's like to use the LCD screen while swimming underwater? I imagine you would need goggles or a face-mask to see the screen. Maybe I'll get a chance to use it in Jamaica's beautiful clear waters sometime.

The answer to that Gary is yes you do need goggles. My old dive camera was a cheap film variety, and the view finder was through the camera (but not the lens), and was essentially useless with goggles on. Instead, it had a small piece of plastic "viewfinder" mounted where the flash would normally go. Framing a shot with that was little better than guessing
LCD screens on modern digital cameras are great underwater for the composition, but you will need goggles to see it properly.

The clarity from the LCD screen is fantastic, much better than my expired expensive Olympus but none of the underwater, point and shoot variety cameras have viewfinders.

It might be interesting to get a few underwater shots from inside a violent swirling toilet bowl.
I'll go recharge the batteries.
