I *think* I understand your point, but dinner is still dinner -- at most, it will amount to 3 hrs. assuming the person/group arrives when dinner begins at 7 and stays until dinner is over at 10. On the beach or by the pool, however, an entire day might literally be that -- 8 or 9AM until 6 or 7PM. That seems to me the more likely practical usage, while the scenario you posit would be more theoretical in nature.

I don't believe the concept of "saving" (tables, movie seats, beach chairs, whatever) has ever been adequately addressed by the Supreme Court. Until it is, I suppose we'll just have to try to be reasonable human beings.
God help us all!

All we need is a ruling from a Briton. I understand they have an innate sense of fair play.

Sorry, we left them to look after their own affairs in 1962 so it's out of my jurisdiction.

Sorry, we left them to look after their own affairs in 1962 so it's out of my jurisdiction. Simon Isn't the Privy Council in London still the highest court for Jamaica? Simon, we need a decision. Just got back from Hedo last night. The towel thing seemed like no big deal to us. They give you cards at the desk for two towels and you pick up your towel at the dive shack. When you leave, turn in the towels for the cards and return the cards at checkout. ch-ch-change your towel for a clean one anytime. We were OK with one towel each but if you had to have another, use a bath towel.

I believe in the concept of 'first come, first served'. Simon
