Is that a residential area and are those old remodeled homes on the right? DT, This is mostly a residential neighborhood (Hank would know better) but it seems that every street has at least 1 or more bed and breakfast inns or small family operated hotel. These little commercial enterprises blend in easily to the community. Overall I was impressed with the care, uniqueness and historical attributes of "old town" Key West. I think I could live there someday. Drinking beer, reading, relaxing and posting (maybe a nice center console boat for touring and tanning) It is expensive but even while raining it was warm and welcoming. (like a nice coochie)

We thought these colors and style details were fantastic for this home. The picture doesn't do it justice.

Geri was supposed to be "pushing with malicious hostility" but it looks more like a friendly groping. BB on the other hand shows that many years of cinema classes has paid off. He's a natural in front of the camera, see how he captures the "rescued from the Atlantic, what the fuck just happened to me look". If he was wet coming out of the water in the second picture it really would have looked good.

Here's a guy drumming on empty commercial food containers. He was quite good and went on all day.

Thursday morning early set-up on Duval looking west or is it east? No wait, south .... I had sense of direction issues this week for the first time ever. Maybe it was from the lack sunlight most of the trip.

If I remember right, the rule of thumb while in Key West, if you keep walking south, eventually you will run into water... or is that west...east??

You'll run into water regardless of direction because the island is small but the lack of knowing which direction you're facing was a strange feeling. Having a penis is a natural GPS, I never had this issue before.

My penis usually only points in one direction.. which is not helpful if the direction keeps moving

Inspect the penis in standing position.
Palpate the shaft of penis both along dorsal and ventral surface
Hold glans and gently compress it between two fingers to observe the urethral meatus.
Pass your finger along the inferior surface to feel urethra. (note which direction penis is pointing to)
Inspect the glans and describe the mucous membrane. (note the location and appearance of the urethral meatus)
Normal: Penis points to left. Covered by hairless skin, on retraction of foreskin Smegma (whitish cheesy material) may be noted.
Urethral meatus is in the center of glans, patent and has no discharge.
psssst.... For those who take their cock serious.

Was wondering what the TNMC attendees think of the all the guys carrying cameras but not doing much socializing.

One reason I didn't want to be painted or in TOO interesting of a costume was all the cameras around. Way too much ends up on the Internet and I prefer to have the illusion of some control over the way my image is used.

I know my baby-doll (Sienna) wouldn't bare "TOO interesting of a costume" either, because of the INTERNET. Which sucks. Part of my wanting to go to that event would be to get into interesting costumes.

I didn't take a single photo of any women, not even my wife (in risque costume). I'm counting on others to e-mail me a few of us though. One evening while in a pub a bartender came over to tell my wife that she was sitting in direct line with a web cam, she didn't care but appreciated the heads-up. I walked outside and called Tex, thinking he would get a good laugh.

When you get settled in please send me the pictures. As a general rule, I don't point my camera at women, I never want them to worry or feel weird... but we don't mind our pictures being taken.
I'm in someones memory card because we took pictures of me with the ladies in one of the pubs while dodging another downpour. (I forgot the name of the place)

As mentioned in another thread, Gary & Geri very graciously allowed me to spend part of the day with them when they went for a tour of The Hemingway Home in Key West. Here are some photos I took during that tour ... In 1938, Hemingway had a boat built for him to use in order to go fishing in Key West. The boat was actually built right here at a shipyard in Brooklyn. Here's the work order: Legend has it that the Cuban captain of the boat eventually became Hemingway's inspiration for his legendary, "The Old Man And The Sea". A replica of the boat is kept in a glass case beside the work order: On the wall of the sitting room of the house hangs The Hemingway Coat Of Arms: One of the reasons why Hemingway bought this particular house was due to its proximity to the lighthouse -- according to the tour guide, Hemingway felt that no matter how drunk he was, he would always be able to find his way home merely by following the beam from the local lighthouse, which is clearly visible from the porch: Hemingway wrote early in the morning (with a hangover, I'm guessing) so he could spend his afternoon fishing. For this, he built an add-on to his house. In the backyard, a small building was constructed to act as his home office, accessible from a steep iron staircase: During the decade that Hemingway lived in Key West, he enjoyed spending his evenings hanging out at a bar on Greene Street called Sloppy Joe's. When the bar's landlord decided to give the bar a sharp raise in its rent, the owner decided to move. In doing so, he chose to remove all of the bar's fixtures out of spite and placed them on the sidewalk in front of the bar; when Hemingway happened upon his favorite watering hole, he asked his friend Sloppy Joe about what was going on -- once given the explanation, Hemingway pointed at one of the urinals and said, "I've poured enough of your drinks down that thing over the years, I feel as though I own it!". Hearing that, the owner gave the urinal to Hemingway, who proudly displayed it in his backyard ... Sloppy Joe's bar still exists in Key West, but it has now moved around the corner to Duval Street -- Ground Zero for The Party Zone at Fantasy Fest. In its place has emerged another bar -- a real dive (in the most admirable sense) called Capt. Tony's ... As you can see, the sign in front of Capt. Tony's pays homage to the fact that this was the original drinking spot for Hemingway when Sloppy Joe's existed there. Additionally, there's a sign on the side of the building commemorating this very fact. Notice the fish atop the sign in front of Capt. Tony's? Bif told me that the tradition is for drunken men to stand under the sign and try to toss quarters into the mouth of the fish. On that night, I saw several guys attempt this, with few actually accomplishing the feat. When Hemingway originally moved into the house, it had no pool. At the behest of his wife at the time, he relinquished and eventually had one built for the kingly sum (at the time) of $20K! After she made this request, Hemingway allegedly said to her, "You've taken all of my money, so you might as well have my last red cent!" -- at which point, he tossed the last penny in his pocket at her. With this in mind, she had that very penny encased in the ground near the foot of the pool ...

BTW -- just got a couple of e - mails that the legendary Capt. Tony (after whom the bar is named) passed away early this morning. He was an elderly guy and my understanding is that he was recently in very poor health -- I certainly don't remember seeing him in the bar any of the times we were there. RIP, Captain -- from what I hear, he was quite a character ...

I suspect word is quiet in Key West about it, as Hank telephoned me this eve to let me know that they went to the book signing with our book, and the Author was doing the signing. No sign of Capt Tony, so they were going to keep the book and drop by in the evenings to see if he was there. Tony was one very interesting character to have a conversation with. He will be missed by many!
