Well, he likes Wal-mart girls with fat asses, so I guess that should answer your question right there.

Well, I haven't yet counted all my fingers and toes yet, but I *think* I'm OK (not bothering to count the brain cells because I know I'm missing a few by now ... ).

When we weren't being flooded, it was quite nice. It rained as hard as you've ever seen it. First night, I had to walk home in water just over my knees -- no exaggeration, I'm 6'3", to give you an idea how deep it was. Next night wasn't so bad -- water only came up to my shins. Things were clearly improving.
Also, I had the opportunity to meet my new best friend: his name is Conch Fritters. They sure are yummy-delicious.
BTW, Hank & Deb are two of the friendliest and most hospitable people I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. Many thanks to them both for helping to show me the town. It's been said before by others, but it really is interesting how quickly some folks will be inclined to offer their friendship even though they only know you from a message board and have never met face-to-face before.
I definitely want to make it back to KW someday, even if it's not during Fantasy Fest.

Sounds like it went pretty well. Rain is part of the deal and it isn't bad in tropical climes. We need to get back to KW. Years ago, I sailed the keys regularly and the waters surrounding the keys are beautiful. I'm looking forward to meeting Hank and Deb in person too. He seems like my kind of folks and I'm sure she is too. We might make it there next year.
BTW, those conch fritters are damn good, but keep eating them and your ass will be as big as a washtub.

Gary, Geri & I shared plates of nachos, ceviche and conch fritters Friday afternoon at lunch -- we never finished any of it, but I can see how you could develop that kind of an addiction.

When I went on the FILP trip last year I was taken aback at the trouble Hank and Deb went to bringing supplies to the Rooftop from home and making numerous airport runs to ensure that nobody was without a lift. I've often found the generosity of spirit and friendship shown by message board friends when you finally meet them in the flesh to be almost overwhelming... in the nicest possible way of course. When I get some time I'll post a few pictures and tell you guys how fun this trip was. In the mean time I want to thank Hank and Debbie for their help and huge welcome to Key West. This town is a must do and having a Key West headquarters like H and D's made it feel more like home. I also can verify that H and D certainly know their stuff here! tnmc.proboards42.com/index.cgi?board=foodanddrink&action=display&thread=8578&page=2#125793This is a great sauce on grilled chicken, thanks again for your hospitality. We'll be coming back to Key West for sure. Gary and Geri

Wayne & I are already talking about going back next year if schedule allows. But BB wasn't kidding about the rain...geesh! 7" on the day we arrived (11th heaviest day of rain that KW ever got in recorded history according to one source). Thank goodness for plastic flipflops.
Got to visit with Chgo friends PJ & Mark and the 7 other naked Florida folks sharing the rental house with us.
Wayne & I were the mad tourists...hit Hemingway house, Pirate Soul (really cool!), Audobon (sp) House, the Truman Little White House, and the Conch train tour.
Time spent at the Garden of Eden (naked bar) were amusing with good music. The generosity and patience of all the costumed people in posing for picture after picture amazed me. Did get to dress up in toga and pirate outfits to join the fun. Blew a conch shell (no additional comments needed...grin).
The wonderful aura of bliss ran high with everyone all week. Must be Key West itself that brings it out in people. Hank & Debbie sure picked a great place to live--and it matches how lovely they are too!

Didn't catch that one, but I did join G&G for a tour of the Hemingway House also and really enjoyed it a good deal -- I was a fan of Hemingway back in college and did a term paper on him but have long since forgotten much. I snapped a few photos; when I get a chance, I'll try to post them.

Even bought the Robert Kennedy (not that Robert Kennedy) print of the house and had it framed in my house. If you get to Havana (not that difficult once you are in MoBay), you should see La Finca Viglia, EH's home in Cuba.

Did any of you see the Mel Fisher Museum? Well worth the trouble. No I didn't and I made a list of places to visit. Christinko seems to have the same list but we couldn't squeeze it all in. I kid you not, the water was 6 - 8 inches deep in the streets outside our room and we stayed 6 blocks inland from Duval. The rain gave everyone a waterfront room regardless of where they were staying.

On my first three trips to KW, I did the Mel Fisher museum (and lifted the heavy gold bar...barely)....it's cool! Just didn't have time this trip.
I was amazed at how fast the trip went and bummed that I didn't get to meet Gary & Geri. I briefly saw Muffy and Bif et al in passing one night and got a call from Jim/Janie, but seemed like we were all off in different directions with so much to do and raindrops to skirt.
This trip was my 4th to the Hemingway house....I go just to hang with the critters. I was also the person chasing down the loose chickens with my camera.
OH! And another tourist thingy we did was the cemetery, but I don't recommend doing it on your own as we did. Go on the guided tour to make sure you can see all the cool epitaphs (that we didn't find, dern it.)
