I missed the cut to the old bicycle, I must have been distracted for a second.
I did like the use of the old chess board (also a link back to the old series) for the staging of the glass casket in the final episode. But, I cannot reconcile the differences between the effect of death between the "real" world and the "parallel" world. When Lucy dies in NY, the resulting crater swallows her counterpart 415 in the village (an obvious allegory), yet there is no equivalent event when 11-12 takes his own life. Is it because 6 and 11-12 were not 'close' in NY? Dont know and its never really touched on.
Another thing that was curious to me at least. If The Village is part of a level of "sub"subconscious, why the dehumanizing use of numbers rather than names? Especially after 6 starts to put the links between the real world and The Village together.

Re: the death of 11-12, I don't think he existed in the real world, so his death in the Village would have no effect up topside. 147 lost his daughter in both worlds, so there's another parallel with Lucy/4-15.
The use of the numbers does seem odd in this new paradigm, though. It made sense in TOS, as a way of eliminating notions of national allegiance and "whose side you are on." But if you are trying to regain humanity, it seems kind of counterproductive. Also, the notion that the new arrival has such a low number as six kind of implies that he's of extraordinary importance, which I suppose he was in the end, but it wasn't obvious from the start, and must have confused the other characters.

Two more items about 2 and the presentation of the parallel plane of consciousness. The first couple episodes 2 stressed to 6 that he only thought he was free... but then the entire topic was dropped with no resolution or explanation as to how or why or what aspect of 6's freedom was being held form him.
Second, the symbolism of 2's hand grenade. It appeared frequently throughout the episodes, and 2 used it once, but a grenade and why making a show of it continually?
147, the cab driver. I thought he might end up being important to 6, or a mechanism for 2 to manipulate 6, but once again nothing.
