Wow is right Mikey. They definately had some more interesting things happen to them than the other Losties. No wonder the Tailies are so suspicious of everyone. I wonder what Sayid is going to do to Ana though.....I think they are going to have a serious problem. Do you think Jack will remember that he saw Ana at the airport?
Those Others though, MAN what a strange bunch. I'm not that good at looking for the hidden meanings in the things put into the shows so I can't even begin to figure them out. I do think that maybe they were part of 'The Incident' that the Dharma orientation movie mentioned and that's why Desmond was the only one in his little bunker without anyone coming to relieve him. We get to see him again in the episode the week after Thanksgiving week, I think.
There are alot of things going on at once and I'm on overload. Any idea why the Others are so interested in the kids?

One thought I had about the children stems from what that one guy who infiltrated the tailies camp said. They are not bad. If you base it on the fact that they are all dead, then the Others could be strange little angels that are bring the innocents to heaven. If you think the Others are part of the whole underground bunker gone wrong, then they have fresh impressionable minds that can be rewired.

This is what myself and the lost think tank got out of it. The plane crash looked fake. Now, they are particular on how things look when presented (the producers). They have enough money to make one look real. Looks like they just dropped off something. Now the others had a list. The list had names on it. so that confirms that someone or something was expecting them. Like in the first season, when they were walking thru the dark territory, that weird looking bird squawked out Hurlys name. So they had a list of names and the description was given by whitman or what ever the hell his name was. Now he told ana that they were taken because they were good. Now, that has to be wrong because they didn't take Mr.Eko, who happens to be a holy or a very religious man. After he killed one of the others he repented for 40 days. what I liked about this epi was it showed Ana wasn't this tough mean bitch at first. She had to turn into one for the sake of the other tailies. Now once again the writers bring in the theme, good and bad, black and white. The front of the plane landed on the good side of the island. The zombies (others) dont go there. Ethan was an infiltrator but not an other. Nothing really bad happened to the fronties compared to the tailies. The dark territory is the border of the good and bad. They are definately not dead. It's a human experiment. I will have to find the link and paste it here from a dharma/hanso site that explains an experiment they have going on in Africa about life extention. In the preview of next week, did you see Jacks face when they mention Ana Lucia? hope I wasn't too long winded Mikey

It was last week's episode which was all about Kate. She went to visit her step father at the recruiting station and there was a spot where you could see other soldiers. Shoot, I can't remember if it was before she saw her dad or when she went into the office where he is. Mikey help me on this!

We are hooked once again to Monday nights at 8pm! It was nice when we got the first few seasons because then we could do a 24 marathon and watch 2-4 episodes at a time. This one hour a week just kills us!

What do you think of the monster? Eko and lock are the only 2 people to have seen it and survived. Who Smokie? LOL!!! I don't quite know what to think yet. We just watched last week's episode on Monday night and I haven't had time to really think about it yet. I do think that it's a very odd smoke/monster/good/evil thing though. I mean, it had all those pictures of Eko's life showing in it. What kind of thing could it be? Deb

One point I was going to make tho - you said that Echo and Locke were the only two to face the black smoke thing down. I guess that's true but remember - Charlie was there with Echo when he saw the black smoke and it didn't do anything to him either.

Hey Colleen, Charlie was in the tree. Away from Echo, so I think the smoke just nails one person at a time. I am starting to get real annoyed at Lost. They are going the way of Alias. I think the writers are LOst themselves at this point

Yes, it was Kate as a teenager and it was her "father" (adoptive father) that was in the truck with Sayib. Do you think that guy was one of the "Others" He's rather well groomed for being "in the jungle" for weeks with no razor to shave. Wish Jack would have stayed out of it! Also, Anna said that she could tell if someone was one of the "Others" so it will be interesting to see how the Tallies react to him when/if they hear about him. What's your take on Sawyer now??

I am so conflicted on Sawyer ~ I keep wanting to give him the benefit of the doubt, but he keeps making himself such an arsehole all the time! Last week's episode made me sad, I just didn't want to believe he could still do this shit to these people, especially Kate. But since he's still the hottest guy on the island, (man is he hot, I'd do him in a second ~ well, if I wasn't married and if he wanted anything to do with a 45 year old grandma, I would!), I'm still hoping a glimmer of humanity will shine through sometime.
This is the one "can't miss" show in our household ~ at least until the Sopranos start up again next month.

The funny thing was that he was drawn into the Jungle. The frog was only driving him crazy and no one else. He had to walk really far to find it. It wasn't normal. Then he had the choice to let it go or kill it. Well he choose the wrong path, I think. this will bite him in the ass later. I can't believe he went so bad so quick. As for that guy, he is one of the others. Syeed was right, you would know where you buried your wife and how many shovels of earth you dug. Jack is turning into a real dick lately. He disses Kate all the time and he really has forgotten what they have been thru in the past. Another thing, the clock hit 0 and nothing really happened. The hieroglyphics came on the screen, there was a load noise like an engine starting but it went back to 180 anyway. This is a mind fuck. If they would have let it go a little while longer, they would have realized that nothing is happening. I am getting to obsessed with this show Mikey

The one thing I find wierd is that people keep going into the jungle by themselves or in twos, in spite of what has happened in the past. When Sawyer and Hurley went looking for that frog, I kept expecting "the others" to jump out and attack them. Same thing when Jin was out gardening by herself in the middle of nowhere ~ OK, it wasn't really the others who took her, but what the hell was she doing out there by herself anyway? JO
Mikey, if you think you are obsessed, you should see the websites and chatlines dedicated to this show. My daughter follows a couple of them and people are discussing this show like it is about real people (well, I guess like I just did, alluding real motives to fictional characters!)

Yeah, I noticed that too, it's rather interesting that all of the people in that plane are connected in some way or another. I hear the hieroglyphs spell out something too like "beware the bad".
I think it's an experiment that went wrong on that island. I agree with you that Sawyer will lose something for killing the frog. They had to do something to explain why Hurley hasn't lost much weight after being on an island for so many days. Supposedly he has now lost about 30 lbs so we'll be seeing "less" of him soon. (which will be much more plausible). Do you trust the food from the Dharma project? I think it's engineered too and maybe they shouldn't be eating it.

Like Hurley said when he read the side of the dharma ranch jar, good for 3 years after opening. So it's Made not to go bad or there is no bacteria on that side of the island. I can't remember anyone getting an infection of the good side only on the bad side. This is a stretch mind you

No one is miraculously getting better either, Sawyer had an infection I think and he did survive but I guess you can argue that it started on the other side of the island
