Hi TNMC buddies! We're back and returned to 7" and not in a good way. Gary, (of Gary and Geri) I would have thought that since you were watching our house for us, you would have done a better job in cleaning out our driveway. Since we couldn't get down the driveway, because it was snow blocked, we had to walk our luggage down a 1000 foot driveway in the snow, with nothing but our flip-flops on. The doctor said the frost bite was not serious. {sigh}, (I guess it is true, you get what you pay for. )
At least you cleaned the blender, and threw out all those banana peels from making dirty bananas in our absence. Unfortunately, the dogs tore the garbage bag open, and banana peels with said fruit flies colonizing are all over the house.
I realize the house may have been a tad chilly while we were gone, since we lowered the thermostat. We do appreciate you turning it back up to a comfortable 92 degrees, keeping it toasty warm for our arrival. So thoughtful. It feels like we're still in Jamaica. Our oil company is very grateful. We will forward the bill as soon it at arrives.
Leaving the all the doors wide open for us certainly made it easier to get into the house after walking down that long driveway. Very thoughtful, and the police said it's unlikely we will ever see our belongings again, but the good news is that our insurance will cover most of it.
Also, many thanks for cleaning out our liquor cabinet. It's been on our "to-do" list, but with so many other priorities, we just haven't had the opportunity to do so. When you get a moment, do let us know where you hid it all - especially our vintage wine collection. It was a small one, worth only a couple thousand dollars. We appreciate you putting it out of harms way.
That being said, we all thought of youse guyze, often during the course of the trip wondering what havoc was being wreaked in our absence, pondering the difficult task of catching up on threads, and their wondrous drifts. As a matter of fact, you were all thought of so often, Gary has a very special "present" you will all be seeing very soon.
The Inner Circle met the Snobs, and it was cosmic. An executive decision was made, and on the beach for all to witness, they raised their right hand, repeating the IC mantra, and were indoctrinated as full members of the Inner Circle. (Which as some of you well know, and have achieved, is upgradeable.)
So with that, I shall now do the dreaded task of unpacking, and all that heinous "after the trip" stuff that has to be done.
Hugs!

I'll help you unpack, it's the least I can do, after letting me watch your house. The snow caught us off guard, when we woke up (in your bed, hope you don't mind we changed the sheets) we felt so relaxed and comfortable we though we would just party instead.
Sorry about the heat, Geri and I were having sex in the living room, (a ch-ch-change from the golf course) we were trying to make it toasty but I admit 92 degrees is overkill. I'll pay the oil bill.
Leaving the front door open was an oversight, I was holding the door open for the thieves who told me they were from the Dell Service Department (even though your computer is a Hewlett Packard.). They said they had a pick up order for your P.C. It's embarrassing to say but I didn't question them when they continued carrying out other household items. I should have known that the plasma TV was OK and didn't need servicing as they said, I guess ripping it off the wall should have been a big enough clue.
The wine will take some time to replace, we consumed most of it and the vintages are hard to find. They were delicious, the merlots were our favorite, they were just like Geri and myself, lots of nutty character and with hints of fruit like quality.
The special present is very special, it's so special I'm baffled.

Ahhh yes...it's good to be home.
I don't have any luggage as Delta forgot to put it on the flight to Tucson. Good thing I have plenty of comment cards to fill out.
Hedo Hugs~ Cher

Yeah, they do deliver. I'm surprised that I was allowed on the plane wearing the "Whip me, crush me, make me wine" sweatshirt. So....did anyone flying home get hassled by the airlines for their t-shirts? Did anyone wear a Hedo t-shirt home? I'm looking for ammo/statistics to back up my complaint with Delta Airlines for refusing to depart Tucson unless I changed my "Be Wicked for a Week" t-shirt. For you folks that weren't there....I whipped off my shirt (while seated) and put it on inside-out. Thanks~ Cher

I'm looking for ammo/statistics to back up my complaint with Delta Airlines for refusing to depart Tucson unless I changed my "Be Wicked for a Week" t-shirt. Cher There are a couple of quick links Hereand Herereferring to similar instances. Perhaps our own resident TNMC legal counsel would have some interesting insight in the violation of freedom of speech.

Well, Jef flew home in his "Nice Shirt, Wanna Fuck" T-Shirt. American airlines said nothing to him, but in the end did have the last word, and decided to give me the fucking by managing to lose MY friggin suitcase. He was somewhat respectful of the children we encountered by placing his hand or hat over his chest, thus covering the offensive to some language. Last word on my luggage was it is still not located. Hmmm, Hope someone enjoys my Pink Taco hat, and my shoes!

I am pleased to report that my shoes and hat were returned to me last evening... The hat is so deformed from the abuse of the luggage that it has taken on the look of an actual "pink Taco" but I am sure it will be replaced prior to the next trip, which there will be one (OK LOTS OF) as I am home for 2 days, and still not even a sneeze or sniffle. The "Hedo" luggage has been repacked for the next trip, and we are just waiting for the time to pass now! Thank you again to everyone who helped to make this trip such a great one for us... and to those who contributed to our FUN!!!!! Laura

Most astute, BB.
I think I've figured out why I used to get sick all the time and haven't lately: I USED to spend every night in the piano bar and now I don't so much....sucking on that microphone must have been a bad idea all those years.

Did everyone come back from WWWW sick (again)? D edited to add: Sorry - should have posted this over at DennyP's! ;D John did, but I did not. I always beef my immune system for a week before I travel with vitamins, herbs, etc. and continue to take them the week I am there. Hubby generally rolls his eyes at all the vitamins I take. (Which include airborne - every other day I am in Jamaica). Well, every year when we return, he gets sick and I do not. He started with the sniffles on Tuesday, sneezing like crazy on Wednesday. Thursday brought the congestion on, then Friday-Saturday he went downhill real fast to the point where I went to a party without him because he needed to stay in bed to keep warm because he had chills. It appears he is on the upswing, but it's slow in coming. He just happened to comment today that it seems every year when he returns from Jamaica he gets sick. Geedoyouthink?
