Milky Cabrera signs a $16 million 2 year deal with the Blue Jays. I guess get caught dopping dosen't cause your value to drop! Let's see how he does without the drugs.
The Jays are starting to remind me of the Marlins last year.

With both the Sox and Yankees on the field status questionable, maybe the Jays management smells blood and feels it's time to make a run. After almost 20 years since a serious division run going a bit to the dark side might be expected.

Here comes the big Hall of Fame Ballot. On it will be, Bonds, Clements, Sousa, each for the first. The drug kings.
I say none of them make it. If they get in then Pete Rose deserves to get in.
We will find out Jan 9.

I HOPE that none of them make it. Long time name on the list who deserve to get in, Jack Morris and Alan Tramell... but that is just my Tiger backing point of view. Morris has come close in the past and its his 14th year on the ballot. Full list with stats

Believe me, as a member of the marching band in high school... being on steroids is the ONLY way to perform a Sousa march

Beeb heard on the news herr that the Mets are looking at former Giants closer Brain Wilson.

Yeah, I read that in this morning's paper, too. Apparently the GM went to see him pitch during a workout to assess him. Given the tight budget the Mets are on these days, I don't see how they could afford him. Hell, I would've preferred they had spent that kind of money on R.A. Dickey!

Let's get this party started. The first pitchers and catchers report today. Spring traning? Yawn. Sorry not my thing. Not that I don't like to go to a game once in a while or have some civic spirit for our local teams, baseball just doesn't get me inspired at spring training. I'm more a playoff person.

We don't watch any spring training games because I don't want to watch someone play who is not going to be there on opening day. Spring training just mean that the season is drawing closer and something to look forward to for the summer.

Jesus H. Christ. Half way into spring training and no one here is making a predicitions for the 2013 season. MLB is saying the Dodgers vs Blue Jays, but I think it is going to be the Nationals vs Angels. It's early but it's fun to start picking now.
NL WEST: DODGERS NL CENTRAL: REDS NL EAST:NATIONALS
NL WILD CARDS: BRAVES, GIANTS
AL WEST: LA ANGELS AL CENTRAL: TIGERS AL EAST: BLUE JAYS
AL WILD CARDs: YANKEES, RANGERS
Let's see what happens at the end of September.

The regular season is just one day away. But with both Gordon and Beeb AWOL and Nola busy at work I guess this going to be a one man thread.
Well I made my predictions the first of the month and are not going to ch-ch-change them Nola has his Rays winning it all.
Let's play ball and have a good 2013 season.

Hey I am still so in on this thread. I am sticking with my Rays again this year. We just need to keep Longo healthy. I watched the Braves play a couple of spring games. That outfield of Upton, Upton, and Heyward is going to be fun to watch. Not many balls are going to drop in with those 3 at full speed. The regular season is just one day away. Not only are not many balls goimng to drop on Upton, Upton and Hetward but they are going to send a few over the fence. Lots of small Parks in the NL East.

Giants took one on the chin from the Dodgers on Monday. Kershaw is one hell of picture and now one hell of a hitter.
The Yankees had it stuck in deep and broken off by Reds on Monday. Going to be a long season the Bronks Bombers in 2013/

Giants got kick along side the head by the Cardinals yesterday. Denice and I are heading out to our first game of the year at AT&T Park to watch the Giants take on the Rockies.

You know, sometimes it doesn't pay to win a World Championship. Monday night Denice and I went to our first game of the season, and we found out that winning means more money at the ballpark. First of all seat prices. Behind home plate 27 rows back we used to pay $34.50 this year $62.75. Beer 16oz draft $9.75, Pretzel large with salt $6.75. Hot Dog, just a plain old hotdog $6.75. Large Coke 32 oz $7.75 As always my 7th inning Jack & 7 $11.50 and Deince had her 7th inning Irish Coffee $11.50.
And last but not least parking used to be $20.00 now it's $30.00.
Multiply everthing up there by 2 except for the parking and we have a rather expensive night at the park. Almost forgot you have to add gas and bridge toll.
The games are going to look real good from my couch from now on in.

A bag of popcorn $8 bucks?? Plus I can't see the instant replay?? We're 20 minutes from the game, but you guys have a TREK!! I can sit in my lazy chair, watch the game in High DEF, drink all I want and do it NEKKID while getting a blow job and the dumb fucks at baseball.com can't figure out why I won't come to every game?? Am I missing something???

Those price are just for the two of us. I don't know how a guy could take a family of 4 or 5 to game. It would have to cost you 5 bills.
And yes I do miss the instant replays.

I was watching the Rays and the Blue Jays tonight when Blue jays pitcher J.A. Happ was hit in the head with a line drive. What a sicking sound even on the TV. He went down like a sack of potatoes. I don't think I have ever seen a guy hit that hard.
I remember about 4 years ago Jose Martinez was pitching for the Giants and he took a shot in the left eye, but he got right up. Brandon McCarthy of the A's took a shot last year and he had to have surgery for a contusion on his brain.
MLB is talking about getting some sort of protection but unless they put a football helmet on them there is not much more they can do. They have talked about putting a Kevlar liner in their hat but that won't help much with a shot right on the side of the head like Happ took tonight.
