Some big news here, boys & girls, so I hope you're sitting down (preferably, on a commode) ...
As you may know, I've been spending the past few months working on my blog; if you've visited the site recently, you may have noticed that I'm now also on both Twitter and Facebook. My blog now displays a "Follow Me" button for Twitter and a "Like" button for Facebook. So, if you belong to either one of those Social Networking/micro-blogging sites, then please feel free to add my blog to your list of favorite links (and share it with others).
To follow me on Twitter go here:

Please try to "re-tweet" my posts on Twitter if you are a member there.
On Facebook:

Here, you can comment on some of the links I've posted; also, if you can add me as a Favorite or a Fan or a Friend or whatever the hell they're calling it over there these days, that would also be much appreciated.
Last -- and this is the big news -- I've been invited to be a contributing blogger to Zane Lamprey's Web site promoting his new TV show on HDNet, "Drinking Made Easy", where he travels the United States to learn about different kinds of beers, wines, spirits and cocktails. The Web site is at an address that's easy to remember because it's the same as the name of the TV show -- www.drinkingmadeeasy.com/ .
Just in case you didn't already know, Zane used to do a TV show called, "Three Sheets" ( www.hulu.com/search?query=Three+Sheets&st=1 ), which is (currently) no longer on the air -- it was rather unique in that it was a combination travelogue and worldwide pub crawl. I became a fan of that show several years ago and promoted both Zane and the TV show with some posts on my blog. Well, apparently, my blog got the notice of his publicist (thanks to Google Alerts!) and she invited me to contribute to Zane's new Online Magazine which serves up content relevant to the TV show.
Both the TV show and the Web site debuted at the beginning of October, so there have only been a few episodes that have aired thus far -- and as a result, I only have a few posts on his associated Web site. However, I'm only one of about a couple of dozen contributors, so there's plenty of content on the site. I'm posting under the pseudonym of The Virtual Nihilist, so I hope you'll keep an eye out for my posts, but there are quite a few funny and interesting articles there about adult beverages, so you might have a lot of fun following both the Web site and the TV show.
If you want to check out my current articles specifically, here are the links:
Unfortunately, I can't watch the show myself because my cable TV provider (Time Warner) dropped the HDNet channel about a year and a half ago -- so unless they pick it up again or the episodes are posted online (Hulu?), I won't really know just what the show is like ... but if it's anywhere near as fun and informative as "Three Sheets" was, it'll be very entertaining.
Well, I guess that's it for now. If you can -- try to catch the "Drinking Made Easy" TV show on HDNet, too. For more info on the TV show, here's a link to tell you about the show and its schedule ...
